Qatar receives first batch of Apache aircraft

The State of Qatar has received the first batch of Apache-QA, during a ceremony held at the headquarters of Boeing Defense Systems in Arizona, US in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, HE Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Qatar ministry of Defense announced.

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in cooperation with DC United has organized an open sports day dubbed “Kick it with Qatar". The event was part of a series of activities that will be launched by the Embassy to promote the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup and the opening of the 2019 new season. Around 2,000 fans, students and their families took part in the event in Washington and neighbors cities.


Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs: Qatar Witnesses Significant Developments in Legislative Field for Human Rights Promotion and Protection

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said that last year witnessed significant developments in the legislative field for the promotion and protection of human rights in the State of Qatar, namely the State's accession to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights as well as the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the promulgation of the Law on the Regulation of Political Asylum.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs: Qatar Plans to Host Regional Meeting to Curb ISIS Crimes

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani has announced that the State of Qatar intends to host this year a high-level regional meeting to address the brutal crimes committed by the ISIS group, in cooperation with the Special Advisor and Head of the International Investigation Team to promote accountability for crimes committed by ISIS group in Iraq.


Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil greenlight $10bn LNG project

Qatar's Minister of State for Energy, and CEO of Qatar Petroleum, Saad bin Sherida al-Kaabi, met with US Energy Secretary Rick Perry ahead the historic Golden Pass project signing. Secretary Perry emphasized that the continued cooperation between the United States and Qatar in the energy sector will enhance the security and prosperity of both countries.
