In a stimulating discussion with Howard University Students, Ambassador Mohammed Al-Kuwari shed light on the high percentage of Arab youth who are unemployed in the Middle East.

Addressing the students, Ambassador Al-Kuwari said a key aspect of Qatar’s vision towards regional peace and prosperity is youth empowerment. Therefore, Qatar established WISE, an initiative that aims to develop education systems in the region. It also founded Silatech, an organization that finances young entrepreneurs in the region. At the same time, the state established a fund worth $100 million that offers grants to Arab students with a guaranteed job in Doha.
