Statement from the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Washington, D.C.

Recent reports alleging that Qatar has trained members of Hamas are unequivocally false and defamatory. Such reports are not backed by any evidence, but are rather part of an ongoing and well-funded campaign to spread falsehoods about Qatar. This campaign has had the recent, unsuccessful objective of applying pressure on Qatar in order to derail our extensive mediation efforts in Gaza and prolong the war.

Oh, how many caravans have passed by, Leaving behind vestiges of the fluctuations of the times, Abodes our sights are accustomed to as the seasons slip by, Our meadows ornamented with herbs.
