Statement from the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Washington, D.C.

Recent reports alleging that Qatar has trained members of Hamas are unequivocally false and defamatory. Such reports are not backed by any evidence, but are rather part of an ongoing and well-funded campaign to spread falsehoods about Qatar. This campaign has had the recent, unsuccessful objective of applying pressure on Qatar in order to derail our extensive mediation efforts in Gaza and prolong the war.

HH The Amir Meets U.S. Secretary of Defense

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a meeting with HE Secretary of Defense of the United States of America Lloyd Austin, at the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense (Pentagon). At the outset of the meeting, HE the U.S. Secretary of Defense welcomed HH The Amir, and praised the strong and strategic relations between the State of Qatar and the United States, noting that the United States is committed to making the partnership with Qatar stronger than it is now.


HH The Amir, U.S. President Discuss Strategic Cooperation

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the United States of America Joe Biden discussed the strong bilateral strategic relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing and promoting them in various fields. During the meeting held at the White House on Monday afternoon, the two sides also discussed the most prominent regional and international developments.


Joint Statement on the Qatar-U.S. Strategic Dialogue

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and the Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken and led the fourth U.S.-Qatar Strategic Dialogue on November 12, 2021, in Washington, DC.
