Joint Statement of the Third Qatar-US Strategic Dialogue

The Governments of the United States and the State of Qatar held the third United States-Qatar Strategic Dialogue on September 14-15, 2020. HE Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and HE US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo co-chaired the Opening Session. In the Joint Statement of the Third Qatar-US Strategic Dialogue, the State of Qatar and the United States welcomed this annual meeting and reviewed progress made since the conclusion of the last Strategic Dialogue, held in Doha in January 2019. The two sides highlighted the strength of the bilateral relationship, opportunities to further deepen cooperation to benefit both countries, and the sustained implementation of previously signed agreements and arrangements.







Embassy of the State of Qatar into the United States celebrates the National Sport Day

The Embassy of the State of Qatar to the United States of America organized a sporting event on the occasion of National Sport Day, with the participation of HE Qatar's ambassador to the United States Meshal bin Hamad Al Thani, HE Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Gulf Affairs in the Near East Bureau at the U.S. Department of State Tim Lenderking, Washington D.C.'s Mayor Muriel Bowser , in addition to official representatives of clubs of board members of Redskins, DC United, Washington Spirit, current and former Redskin's players and over 400 children.


CITY OF HOUSTON PROCLAIMS QATAR DAY IN HOUSTON

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner declared today “Qatar Day in Houston” to acknowledge the State of Qatar for its generous support of the city’s long-term recovery efforts following Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
