HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani discussed with US President Barack Obama a number of regional and international issues, including the international efforts to combat terrorism.
The meeting, held ahead of GCC- US summit which will begin at Diriyah Palace today, addressed cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the United States of America as well as the prospects for advancing them in all fields.
It also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, especially in Yemen, Libya, and Syria, where the two sides exchanged views on them, reviewed the two countries firm positions with regards the renunciation of violence, extremism and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and stressed the importance of continuing and strengthening the international efforts to combat these phenomena and scourges.
