Qatar Adopts Individual Partnership and Cooperation Program with NATO

HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani, Qatar's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and Head of Mission of the State of Qatar to the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), presented to Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of NATO, a document of individual partnership and cooperation program between the State Qatar and NATO, which was adopted by the State of Qatar. 
  In this context, HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani delivered a speech during the Meeting of the North Atlantic Council with the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative Countries in Brussels, where he outlined the positions of the State of Qatar along with its efforts to advance and strengthen the prospects for cooperation between the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative Countries and NATO, in addition to the current challenges facing the Arab Gulf region and the Middle East. 
  His Excellency announced that the State of Qatar approved the individual partnership and cooperation program between Qatar and NATO, and handed over the agreement document to the Secretary General of NATO. 
  It is worth mentioning that the Meeting of the North Atlantic Council with the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative Countries in Brussels discussed issues related to regional security, terrorism, the next NATO summit in Warsaw, and ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides. (QNA)
