Qatar celebrated World Water Day and GCC Conservation week during the month of March by holding events and activities that shed light on the importance of desalinating water and promoting sustainable management of water resources.

In a statement, the Minister of Energy and Industry His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada said: “Water is the main element for sustainable development. Therefore, working to provide, preserve and enhance water resources is fundamental in fighting against poverty, and supporting economic growth, environmental sustainability, food security and human health.”
