Qatar will give 10 billion USD to humanitarian and development programs across the world in the coming decade, according to His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

The Minister made the announcement on the final day of the inaugural World Humanitarian Summit in Turkey.

Speaking at the summit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said almost half of the funds would be used for education initiatives to help curb the spread of extremism, violence and “loss of hope,” QNA reported.
